Jonah loved to experiment with his art and try out new skills and media. This is illustrated in his linocut Susannah Bathing and his use of collage in the abstract Cwm Bychan. While he usually made all his own artwork, one field where his designs required the input of others was metalwork. The result was some remarkable baldacchinos (altar canopies) in Catholic churches, and other metal forms. His art medal of Dylan Thomas was cast from a modelled clay relief.
