In 1985 Jonah was invited by his friend Ron Dutton of Wolverhampton Polytechnic, a founder of the British Art Medal Society, to consider a theme for a medal. The result was a 12.7 cm-diameter medal bearing a profile of Dylan Thomas. It was produced in an edition of 37 and sold out.
