One of Jonah’s most prestigious inscriptions, the Lloyd George memorial at Westminster Abbey was designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. In his autobiography Architect Errant, Sir Clough recorded that it was unveiled by the Prince of Wales in 1970 “in the presence of three Prime Ministers – Messrs Macmillan, Wilson and Heath, with Jeremy Thorpe gallantly representing the Liberal Party and delivering an eloquent and moving address.”
