Jonah Jones served for a great many years on the Welsh Arts Council as well as the North Wales Arts Association, contributing to many important new developments throughout Wales. He campaigned passionately for a dedicated national gallery, which only Wales among the nations of the British Isles did not have – which is still the case today.
