The Architectural Glass Centre (AGC) at Swansea College of Art has completed the restoration of 12 spectacular dalle de verre windows by Jonah Jones.
On 28 October 2022, the ACG delivered a final panel to St David’s Church, Mold, where the windows are being relocated. While the windows were being removed from their original location in Morfa Nefyn, it was found that one of the 24 panels had deteriorated so badly that it collapsed. The broken panel needed to be completely rebuilt.
The final stage of the project will be to install eight of the windows in St David’s Church in stainless steel frames produced by Dee Tech Services of Hawarden, under the direction of project manager Mike Bunting. The other four windows were installed earlier in 2022.
