Mosaic of Christ the Holy Redeemer, Christ The Word Catholic School, Rhyl, c.1967–68. Photograph: Stephen Brayne.

The mosaic was originally made for the Catholic Church of the Resurrection of Our Saviour (shown here) in Morfa Nefyn on the Llŷn peninsula, which closed in 2016 and was later demolished. In 2019 the Catholic Diocese of Wrexham arranged for the mosaic to be relocated to the new Christ The Word Catholic School in Rhyl. Photograph: Stephen Brayne.

The relocated mosaic at the new school in Rhyl. It is flanked by banners showing details from Jonah Jones’s dalle de verre windows relocated from the former church in Morfa Nefyn to St David’s Church, Mold.
